The 30 best offline games for iPhone and iPad

A good mobile game can make air travel or public transport travel more enjoyable, but you usually need an internet connection to play most of them. So whether you're sitting in a waiting room or taking a vacation in a remote location and you don't have the internet, you're going to want iPhone games that work even if you're offline.

Popular games like PUBG need an active data connection when you go into battle, and you need the internet to load a Roblox account. That said, there are plenty of games on iOS that you can play offline, and we've found several different types. So here is a list of the best offline iOS games that you can play on your iPhone or iPad in several popular genres.

• Alto's Odyssey: Odyssey is an endless runner like the original, only you will be sandboarding through the desert. Explore canyons, temples and you can climb or crush towering rock walls in the sand. As expected, it also has a great soundtrack and it's perfect for a plane ride.

• Three ! : If you want to immerse yourself in a great puzzle game, this is the one for you. While Three ! is an older title, still worth recommending for excellence and difficulty as the little puzzle grows and grows on you.
• Valley of monuments 2: While the first Monument Valley was awesome and you should play it first, the second version is even harder, and we love it. Guide a mother and child through a journey of paths, illusions, and geometry in a delightful, award-winning puzzle. The soundtrack alone is worth playing.
• Two points : A beautifully designed puzzle adventure game that will keep you busy for hours. When this puzzle was first released, it was the # 1 game in over 100 countries, so now is a good time to try it out if you haven't tried it yet.
• Free flow: This next game is almost like the classic Snake game, only more exciting. Connect matching colors with pipes to create a flow. But don't overlap or be too long, as that will be a challenge.
• Candy Crush: This is another game that does not need to be introduced. Candy Crush has been around forever, works offline and continues to entertain people everywhere on flights.

• CSR Race 2: If you like to drift like the boys from Tokyo Drift, CSR race is for you. This game offers console-like graphics, car tuning and crazy drifts on your iPhone. And yes, it works offline in some modes.
• Need for Speed: No Limits: Some of the best racing games for mobile all work offline including NFS: no limit. It's still one of the best mobile NFS games out there, so get ready to rock the metal.
• Real race 3: One of the most realistic and exciting racing games on mobile, real race 3, is a simulator like no other. While we sit back and wait for a fourth installment, you can enjoy this thrilling racing simulator anywhere and everywhere with Formula 1 cars and more.
