You'll also be able to purchase a themed Switch Pro controller and official carrying case starting May 12, when the game officially goes on sale. All options will be available to Brits. Nintendo hasn't announced pricing yet, but the Switch OLED usually costs £309,99 full price.

The excitement surrounding Tears of the Kingdom may encourage some players to even upgrade their first Switch model, which may be showing its age.

The OLED Switch has a larger 7-inch screen than the original 6,2-inch Switch, along with superior display technology. There's no bigger power in the Switch OLED, but the improved, larger screen could be key for gamers hoping to experience the beautiful Hyrule landscape that Nintendo crafted in all its glory.

There's also 64GB of storage so you can keep more games and improved battery life so you can keep playing for longer. Our review concluded that this is a great upgrade for handheld gaming, but if you play mostly docked, you won't see any of these improvements, so best to steer clear of.

Ryan Jones wrote in his late 2021 review, "I was super impressed with the Nintendo Switch OLED. The screen's image quality is far better than I expected, while additional enhancements such as a sturdier stand, wider screen and more premium design help ensure that this is the best portable gaming device you can buy right now.

As for the gameplay showcase Nintendo dropped today. Well, without further ado, you can dive in below. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will officially go on sale May 12, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
