Ride1Up's new full-suspension e-bike is ready to roll

The Revv1 electric bike combines style and power.

Ride1Up, the California-based e-bike manufacturer, has just announced the Revv1 e-bike. A new full suspension bike designed to give you an adrenaline rush at an affordable price compared to the competition from mopeds and motorcycles.

And while Ride1Up is popular for its commuter and cruiser e-bikes, the new Revv1 is entirely different. This is a new sleek and sturdy moped style performance e-bike similar to models from Super73, ONYX or Volcon.

The Revv1 features premium specs, a sleek design and retro cafe-racer headlights. It's available in full suspension or an even more affordable hardtail option for those looking to save a few bucks. It looks more like a motorcycle than a pedal bike, and I want one.

While it's hard to call the $1 front-suspension model and the $895 full-suspension Revv1 affordable, these bikes have a lot to offer for the price. Specs include a powerful 2W rear hub motor and a massive 400V 750Ah battery (from Samsung) capable of delivering around 52W of power from its 20Wh capacity.

Being a Class 2 e-bike, the Revv1 can reach a top speed of around 20 mph with the throttle controller or pedal assist. However, Electrek confirmed buyers could contact Ride1Up to unlock an “off-road mode” that will likely make it reach over 28 mph. Expect over 60 miles per charge, depending on weight and assist levels.

The Revv1 comes with a set of four-piston hydraulic brakes front and rear, big 20×4-inch tires and full fender flares, with integrated front and rear lights. We particularly like the upgraded round headlight, which is standard. More importantly, Ride1Up told us that "protected and locked internal electronics" will help prevent theft, which is a growing problem for the e-bike community.

This style of e-bike has gained popularity thanks to the Super73, which is why this is the first bike we compare it to. And while the peak horsepower isn't as high as a Super73-RX bike, it doesn't cost $4 like my Super000-RX Mojave.

Ride1Up says the new Revv1 will come with optional accessories and add-ons, including a neat storage cage (soft panel), foot pegs, rear grab handle for a passenger, cargo racks and more.

The all-new Revv1 is available in graphite gray or soft moss green. The e-bike is available for pre-order today, with full-suspension shipping in March, and the front-suspension model slated to ship in April. Grab yours from the link below.
