On Bing, you can tell if the results were useful to you. Microsoft has patented the analysis of this feedback.
Microsoft has filed a patent for the analysis and automatic processing of user feedback from Bing, the search engine acquired from Yahoo. This patent was registered in October 2011.
The software giant is not the only one to have set up such an automatic collection of feedback search engine users. Google also offers it (photo below).
These devices allow them to automatically categorize feedback to improve their technology and to account for human reviews in search results.
