Google Pixel 6 Pro appears in first practice video

We may have just caught a glimpse of the Google Pixel 6 Pro in a leaked hands-on video.

Google's next smartphone has been leaked to guard, including a bizarre pre-announcement from the company itself. This wave of information doesn't look likely to end anytime soon, judging by this latest leak.

Mr. Brandon Lee of This is Tech Today YouTube channel tweeted a brief 8-second clip that appeared to show a Google Pixel 6 Pro (the higher-end of the two models) being handled.

As well as showing off the phone in its brilliant gray hue, the clip also gives a preview of the lit screen to show off the Android 12 'Welcome to your Pixel' setup screen, with its bold redesign of the interface design. Material You user.

We already know that this dual-curvature display will be a 6,7-inch AMOLED with QHD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate - the latter being a first for a Pixel phone.

The video clip also confirms some minor details, such as the controls all on the right side of the device and the presence of a central punch-hole selfie camera.

Lee speculates that the odd logo on the back of the device suggests that this is a first production test unit. As such, it might not be 100% compliant with the final model that we expect to see over the next few weeks.

Google's pre-announcement calmed down those visual leaks somewhat, but there is something to be said for proper hands-on images.

There are no new farms on a release date yet, but we expect Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro to launch in October.
