Google: 9 out of 10 internet users stay on the 1st page

91,5% of Internet users only consult the first page of Google results. This is what emerges from the analysis of the American research firm Chitika.

When they search on Google, Internet users stop at the first page of results, for the vast majority of them. In total, the first page captures 91,5% of the traffic while the second page collects only 4,8% and the 3e only 1,1%. This new study by the American research firm Chitika (June 2013) characterizes the behavior of Americans and Canadians, historically similar to that of the French.

In each of these results pages, the # 1 position of ranked sites gets the best click-through rate. On the first page, this position totals 32,5% of clicks. In her previous study in 2010, Chitika found quite comparable results. The research firm believes that these click-through rates should not change significantly in the future.
