Panic among SEO's!
If you're an SEO and trying to find the answer to why Search Console data is no longer updating, you've come to the right place. Creating chaos and delaying weekly reports, Google Search Console search results data is apparently stuck.
The GSC Performance Research Report has not been updated for over 110 hours now, and the most recent date available on GSC is Saturday September 18, 2021, which is also partial data and does not cover the day. September 18 in full.
Search Console Help indicates that there may be a time lag between when the data is calculated and when it is available to webmasters. Even though the data is published at regular intervals, Google collects it all the time. However, the data collected should be available within 2-3 days in most cases.
Such a delay is not uncommon, however. There have been several instances where Search Console reporting has been delayed, in some cases even for weeks.
GSC data no longer updates
Many SEOs have noticed the bug in their Search Console reports for the past few days and have taken to social media to ask if they are the only ones with this problem. “Is there a bug on the GSC? Sorry if I'm late, but I haven't had any data updates since September 18, ”asked Tessa Bonacci Nadik, SEO Product Manager at Cox Automotive.
She is not alone. Other SEO experts report that September 18 was the last day with data available. Aleyda Solis reported that her last day of data was September 17.

No panic for your SEO reports
If your data isn't updating, don't worry just yet. The problem will likely be fixed soon, but be sure to notify your customers and adjust your weekly reports to avoid any misunderstandings or data errors. If you are using the Search Console API, it is also likely that you will see 404 errors until the issue is resolved. Google assured SEOs that the issue is not affecting the way sites are viewed or indexed, but simply the way data is passed to them. It's also a good reminder to go to Search Console regularly to check your data and not to rely solely on tools that can pull data into automated reports.
