Quantic Dream is reportedly currently working on a second AAA project based on its 4 PlayStation 2013 tech demo, The Dark Sorcerer.
according to Twitter user @AccNgT, who tweeted screenshots from Star Wars Eclipse before it was officially revealed at the Game Awards, this new AAA project is more of a 'humor-based game', developed by the core team at Quantic Dream in Paris.
Additionally, this unannounced project would be "more advanced than Star Wars Eclipse," which we only saw announced with a fully CGI trailer at the Game Awards last year.
Apparently this new title is intended to be "based on narrative interactivity", with a non-linear storyline and a medieval fantasy setting, similar to the Dark Sorcerer tech demo that Quantic Dream displayed in 2013 at E3.
As the name suggests, The Dark Sorcerer tech demo featured exactly that, a wizard practicing evil magic before, in a comedic twist, the titular Dark Sorcerer is shown to be actually an actor on a set struggling with a litany of production problems.
It's currently unclear when this unannounced AAA title could be released, as industry insider says Tom henderson, the Parisian studio of Quantic Dream "is currently struggling to hire staff", a problem that probably stems from the sexual assault allegations made against the company in 2019.
